THE CARRS
September/October 2007
The Latest Family News!!!
The biggest news: Emaline Cherrie Carr arrived September 11, 2007 at 1:49 p.m. The beautiful baby girl was 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 19.5 inches. Thankfully, both baby and mommy are healthy and doing well. The joys of parenthood have been overwhelmingly wonderful!
The Latest Church News…
As summer has come to a close and Fall has begun, The WELL has seen many new developments. We’ve begun four community groups (weekly, home-based Bible study groups), and a monthly “second Friday” concert series (the first being October 12th) as an opportunity to further connect with the creative arts community.
Jason Webb has been leading our music for a year now. He recently attended the “Continuous Worship” conference in Seattle, WA and has returned with many great ideas. In addition to his leading worship, facilitating a community group, and arranging the “Second Friday” concert series, Jason is in the midst of our eldership training process, which should be complete by year’s end for his ordination (just in time for the arrival of Jason and Wendy’s first child in December!)
The Latest Needs and Requests…
The WELL is in process of arranging to cover health insurance for the Carr’s, and by year’s end is hoping to bring Jason Webb on board with a part-time salary. Additionally, the WELL building needs some upgrades for anticipated growth, especially in regards to our nursery and children’s facility. As we look toward next year, Jeremy is preparing to begin further seminary education pending anticipated acceptance in the Th.M. program at Erskine Theological Seminary.
As part of the discipline of being “missional,” we are prayerfully seeking those who may sponsor the continuance of our ministry. The personal goal for staff members is to raise 1/3 of their salary. Since the WELL is a 501c3 non-profit ministry, any donations are tax deductible and we will gladly provide a receipt for your records.
We humbly request your prayers, encouragement, and consideration for funding in part the ministry of the WELL. Please know that your faithfulness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ is an inspiration to me, my family, and to the WELL.
Blessings,
Jeremy and Melody Carr
