Last night we attended a great concert- Athlete and Switchfoot in Aiken, SC.  Overall, the show was fantastic.  As always in our region of the universe, there are some interesting observations.

The studio is finally up and running, so spread the word.  Currently, I’m working with Carey Murdock.  It’s coming together quite nicely, so keep an ear out for his album coming in the near future.

 
Will, my friend and former band-mate, got me into Minus the Bear.  Lovin’ it…Pachuca Sunrise is addictive, so at least invest a buck to download that one…it’s tasty for sure.

Once again, Wes has introduced me to a great band: Editors.  In general, the music is somewhat typical new-school, high-energy British rock: a very distinct sound. Iona is one of my favorite bands in modern times. They incorporate modern rock with traditional Irish music and draw inspiration from Celtic and Christian sources. Many of their lyrics include prayers or sayings from centuries past. My favorite song, Encircling, is based on a prayer of St. Patrick.
